Tamar is one of the side valleys to Uper Sava valley. A remote valley at the foot of Mt Jalovec is also a spot where Slovenia’s longest river has it’s source. A place where you find tranquillity and beautiful views.

From snowy Kranjska Gora we will start our trip along the ski slopes towards Planica. Some beautiful scenery along the way with snow capped mountains and frozen water ponds. Frost over the trees will add some mystic to our riding. Nice warm up before we hit the real snow after the ski jumping facilities in Planica. Pristine nature all around.

After a couple of kilometers we will get to the Tamar lodge. Surrounded by magnificent mountain peaks. A few steps away from the lodge you can see a little waterfall Nadiža which is usually caught in ice at this time of the year. If you continue a few steps on from the lodge, you will find yourself in the most pristine nature you can imagine just a few kilometers away from ski resort of Kranjska Gora.

Not ready for downhill ride yet? Step in the lodge and get yourself a hot cup of herbal tea and a piece of apple strudle like our grandmothers used to make.

The real fun starts there. Speeding along snow covered roads downhill to Planica and on trought forests to Kranjska Gora. Test your skills and set pace according to your comfort level.
